The Brewers acquired outfielder Jake Bauers in exchange for minor-league outfielders Jace Avina and Brian Sanchez. Bauers appeared in 84 games for the Yankees in 2023, compiling 12 home runs and 30 RBIs. He also had 49 hits and had a batting average of .202 on the season. Before he was with the Yankees, he spent one season with the Seattle Mariners, two with the Cleveland Guardians, and one with the Tampa Bay Rays.
