Williams announce Mercedes strategy chief Vowles as new team boss

Mercedes strategy chief James Vowles will replace Jost Capito as team principal at Williams, the Formula One team said on Friday. Vowles has been working in F1 for 21 years and representing Mercedes since 2010. He will start the job at Williams on February 20 ahead of the season opening Bahran Grand Prix on March 5. “I cannot wait to start with Williams Racing.
