By Milo Taibi It’s been a busy day in the world of the Seattle Seahawks. In addition to formally announcing the long-term extension of Geno Smith, the team released nine-season veteran Gabe Jackson. The veteran guard was picked up via trade in 2021 from the Las Vegas Raiders. Tom Pelissero of the NFL Network had the scoop. As Pelissero noted, the move will free up $6.5 million in cap space for the Seahawks. Had Jackson remained with Seattle, his salary would have taken $11.3 million in cap space.
