Odermatt triumphs again in Slovenia to seal giant slalom crown

Switzerland’s overall World Cup champion Marco Odermatt won a second giant slalom in two days in Kranjska Gora, Slovenia on Sunday to retain this season’s discipline title. The 25-year-old’s win on Saturday meant he wrapped up overall season glory given rival Aleksander Aamodt Kilde did not enter the race ahead of the World Cup finale in Andorra next week. Like on Saturday, Odermatt led after the first run and then prevailed by 0.32 seconds.
