NCAA Reportedly Makes Decision On Michigan Freshman

By Tzvi Machlin As the Michigan Wolverines await word on their NCAA Tournament fate, they’ve at least gotten some clarity on the status of one of their prized players. According to Clayton Sayfie of On3 Sports, Michigan sophomore Isaiah Barnes has been granted a redshirt waiver. He is now registered as a redshirt freshman by the Michigan basketball program. As a result, Barnes now has three years of eligibility remaining. He played just 91 minutes for the Wolverines this year and only six as a true freshman in the 2021-22 season.
