MLB Owners Make Official Decision on A’s Proposed Move to Las Vegas

By Joseph Salvador MLB owners overwhelmingly voted to make the Athletics Las Vegas’s first-ever MLB team on Thursday. However, it’s still unclear where the team will play after 2024. The A’s currently have a lease at the Oakland-Alameda County Coliseum through ’24 but their permanent $1.2 billion facility on the Las Vegas Strip won’t be ready for them until 2028. The team plans to play in a revolving series of sites until the permanent move, according to Bob Nightengale of USA Today Sports.
