Goggia wins home downhill in Cortina, Shiffrin misses record feat

Sofia Goggia claimed a fourth downhill win in five World Cup races this season on Friday, while World Cup leader Mikaela Shiffrin missed another chance to clinch a women’s record 83rd victory in alpine skiing. Racing at home in Italy’s Cortina d’Ampezzo, Goggia clocked 1 minute 33.47 seconds, beating second-placed Ilka Stuhec of Slovenia by 0.13 second.
