Olympic track cycling champion Lisa Brennauer of Germany has said she will end her career after the European championships in Munich later in the month. Brennauer, 34, won seven world titles and was part of the pursuit team that won gold at last year’s Tokyo Games. “It is the right time. I am happy that I can leave the sport with this positive energy and that I could decide for myself when to quit, and wasn’t forced to do so,” Brennauer told dpa.
