By Kameron Duncan Rick Pitino is currently the head coach of the Iona Gaels, but many fans are hoping he takes another job after St. Johns decided to part ways with its head coach. After news broke that the Red Storm was getting rid of coach Mike Anderson, many fans jumped at the opportunity to bring up Pitino as the team’s next head coach. Pitino is familiar with the Big East, winning two regular season titles and three conference tournament titles there with Louisville before the school moved to the ACC. The New York native grew up on Long Island, making him a perfect fit for the Red Storm. …
