Tottenham defender Cristian Romero started and played 90 minutes for Argentina last night as they lost to Uruguay over in South America. Goals from Ronald Araujo and Liverpool forward Darwin Nunez were enough for Marcelo Bielsa’s side to end Argentina’s long 14-game unbeaten run. Of course, there were plenty of eyes on the game from a Premier League team point of view. As well as Romero at Tottenham and Nunez at Liverpool, Enzo Fernandez and Alexis Mac Allister played, while Manchester City’s Julian Alvarez started up top.
